Cost benefit analysis of bimetallic casting process

Jun,06,2025 << Return list

The gradient casting triple groove track plate developed by XX enterprise uses high chromium cast iron (HRC62) at the tooth tip and QT700-2 ductile iron as the base, achieving metallurgical bonding through directional solidification technology. Actual operating conditions show that this type of excavator track shoes has a service life of up to 18 months in the iron ore crushing station, and can be replaced separately for worn blocks during maintenance. The leading excavator top roller factory has now developed a laser alignment system to ensure that the matching accuracy between the bimetallic track plate and the guide wheel is ≤ 0.05mm. Although this technology increases the single piece cost by 25%, the comprehensive life cycle cost is reduced by 31% (data source network, for reference only).
